Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question, we have an answer for you

What is Ring-A-Ding Ding?Ring-A-Ding Ding is a unique audio guestbook that lets guests at your wedding or other special events send wishes with the sound of their voice! Voices are so precious and can be lost with a regular voicemail system or traditional guest book. Ring-A-Ding Ding takes the place of a traditional guestbook, allowing guests to record voicemail messages instead of writing notes. At your event, guests just pick up the handset on our vintage rotary telephone, hear a greeting you’ve pre-recorded and leave their message after the custom message. After your event, our audio operators download your voicemails so you can listen to for years to come, or optionally pressed into a real vinyl record that you can play on any record player! The icing on the cake is that Ring-A-Ding Ding also serves as an additional décor element at your event, reinforcing your theme or design concept. And, it provides an additional activity to keep your guests engaged and entertained throughout your celebration.

Where will the phone be set up at my event? When we deliver and set up your audio guestbook we make sure it is in a prominent place where your guests might congregate! Although we increase the volume of all recordings to help your guests hear (given the typical background noise present at special events), we make sure to put it away from speakers, bands or other especially loud areas that might interfere with the recording of your guests’ messages. Our team creates a frame with instructions that coordinates with your event décor to explain how to use the audio guestbook to your guests. Ring-A-Ding Ding also offers more comfortable arrangements like our "Gossip Bench" where you guests can sit and use the audio guestbook. To get the most possible messages, you might also want to ask your DJ or band—or an attendant—to let guests know that the phone is there to help capture memories, just like you would with a traditional guestbook.
-
What is the turnaround time for getting my voicemails? We know how exciting getting your voicemails is. Our audio editors typically get voicemails back within 24-48 hours after the event! This turnaround time is based on an estimate & if our Audio Guestbook is returned within the 48 hour time period given. The turnaround time is subject to change depending on the timeframe of the return.
-
Is there a limit on how many voicemails we can record? No! We will send you every voicemail (even the tipsy ones) that is left on our phones for you & your loved ones to cherish forever!
-
Does the audio guestbook require WIFI or connection to a landline? No! Our phones are completely wireless and require no outside connection to work, which means they can be placed anywhere! They are powered by a battery which allows the phone to record for 8-10 hours, and we also provide you with a spare.. just incase!
